Hello - I’m Dawn.
Owner, designer, and the one doing a bit of everything behind the scenes at Dotty about Fred.
I’ve been designing wedding stationery since 2003, which means I’ve seen more trends come and go than I care to count and still firmly believe that good design always outlasts them.
Outside of work, I’m happiest keeping things simple: a cup of tea within reach, a bit of 70s music playing, and the occasional gin when it feels appropriate (which is often). I have a soft spot for clean spaces, good design, and anything that feels considered - whether that’s a beautifully laid-out page or a well-done barn conversion.
Most importantly, I’m very lucky to have a wonderful family. My four grandchildren are, without question, the best part of everything.
Dotty about Fred began in 2003, long before wedding trends came with hashtags.
Named after my grandparents - Dot and Fred - who mastered the art of long-term love (and strong opinions), the brand was built on one simple idea:
Beautiful stationery doesn’t have to be boring.We design wedding pieces that feel considered, modern, and just playful enough to raise a smile - without sacrificing elegance. Because love stories deserve better than copy-and-paste script fonts.
